Why do an Internship?

The purposes of an internship are to produce hands-on exposure to a chosen career, to provide an insider's view of the company, to match the students goals with employer's goals, to provide the student with a better understanding of the work environment, to provide the students with a no-obligations look at employers, to give the student access to real world issues and answers, to enable the student to learn to work with various personalities, and to assist the student in learning how to manage his/her time effectively.
