Membership

Membership is open to those interested or involved in improving financial literacy among adults and youth in North Carolina . Nationally recognized programs developed and promoted by business organizations and individuals judged to provide non-biased educational information are encouraged. We do, however, discourage membership by individuals or organizations whose financial literacy interests are solely commercial.

A critical component of the network is to identify financial education programs and resources targeting populations deemed “financially at risk.”

These individuals or groups are generally disproportionately at risk of not accumulating savings for short and long-term needs; having inadequate retirement income; taking investment and financial management advice that does not benefit them economically, while avoiding beneficial choices; becoming entangled in financially devastating credit arrangements; and not having the capacity to accumulate assets, like a home.

The membership form you submit will ask you to identify audiences you target.

In-depth information about target audiences will also be requested for the educational materials, training programs and speaker presentations submitted.

Organizations, business and agencies and groups who do not offer financial literacy programs regularly who wish to show their commitment and support for financially literacy in our state can become a member as a supporter.

If you would like to submit membership information, please submit your information here.

Your entry will not appear on the site if you do not complete a membership form.
