Applied Survey Research Laboratory

The North Carolina A&T State University School of Agriculture's Applied Survey Research Laboratory (ASRL) integrates state-of-the-art survey methodologies, and computer and communications technologies. The lab consists of eight telephone survey stations, mail survey facilities and 15 data entry/programming stations. The lab's computers contain software for data analysis, graphics, word processing, communications, and computer-generated presentations.Lab assistant Benny Gray supervises students working in the ASRL.

The Applied Survey Research Laboratory is available for members of the A&T faculty to use in conjunction with social science research projects, and it also offers its range of services to government and nonprofit agencies, academic researchers and private enterprises. Contractual agreements can be made for studies to be designed and completed by the ASRL staff.

ASRL Policies

  • The ASRL does not participate in research which cannot be disseminated through scholarly or public means.
  • The highest standards for protecting the confidentiality of respondents must be observed in all research conducted at the ASRL.
  • The ASRL reserves the right to decline involvement in projects outside the area of staff expertise, projects requiring an extensive allocation of human resources, or projects in conflict with research standards adhered to by the North Carolina A&T State University School of Agriculture.
