Environmental Intervention Program for Small-Scale and Limited-Resource Farmers in North Carolina

The Environmental Intervention Program for Small-Scale and Limited Resource Farmers in North Carolina focuses on the development and implementation of environmental intervention programs for the state's small-scale farmers.
Key project activities include:

• identifying compliance assistance needs in the agricultural community, and the most effective ways for small-scale and limited resource farmers to address those needs.
  
• providing training and educational materials that will address pesticide management, pollution prevention and general safety.
  
• providing demonstrations and hands-on activities for pesticide applicators and their maintenance.
  
• establishing a database of limited-resource farmers to target with pertinent pesticide information.
