If Not You Who?.. Taking A Stand To Help Young People In YOUR Community - The Asset Building : A Community Approach Curriculum

Program Description:

Program trains community leaders to use the developmental assets framework to address issues facing youth in their communities.

Target audience:

The primary target audience included graduates of the Community Voices leadership development program, community leaders and residents in limited-resource communities. A secondary target was organizations and agencies targeting limited-resource audiences with parenting and youth development training.

Goals and Objectives:

The project encouraged leaders to:

1. apply leadership skills to address issues affecting youth,

2. find solutions to problems plaguing youth,

3. use the developmental asset framework to plan community projects targeting youth, and

4. introduce the power of assets to families and organizations in their community.
