Twenty grand for housing, economic development and financial services
Clark University in Massachusetts is coordinating a competitive grants program for a multi-agency coalition that will be awarding $20,000 for research and community development proposals selected in three categories: (I.) Affordable and sustainable housing; (II.) Neighborhood based economic development; and (III.) Financial services to low-income communities. There will also be three $2,500 cash awards given to the second place winners of each category. Proposal requirements include representation from an institution of higher education, a local government entity and/or a non-profit organization. The grant announcement also notes that "Teams partially comprised of students are encouraged." Proposal abstracts are due Jan 25.
