Health kick
After two years in Kentucky (2005 and 2006) and then a stop in Kansas City (2007) the Priester National Extension Health Conference is coming to Raleigh, April 8-10, 2008. The theme for the 2008 Priester National Extension Health Conference is “Building Healthy Communities, One Person at a Time” and the conference program will be built around Cooperative Extension's history of health promotion and disease prevention. A call for proposals for presentations has gone out to Extension professionals, agency partners and students. There are three primary conference tracks, and presentation proposals should have a tie to one of them. The three tracks are: “Successful Aging,” “Global Health,” and “Growing Up Healthy IRL (in real life).” The deadline for submitting presentation proposals is Nov. 30.
