Goats hammed it up

Small Farm Field Day at the University Farm on June 21 attracted the attention of News 14 Carolina as well as a capacity crowd of more than 120 people. The news crew latched onto Drs. Millie Worku and Ralph Noble’s research into meat goat production, and the News 14 Web site has video clips as well as a story on the potential for goat meat production in North Carolina. Other research projects on the Field Day agenda included poultry probiotics, mushrooms, heirloom tomatoes, new cauliflower cultivars, Asian vegetables and organic production methods.
