Alternative ag. tour of Southeastern N.C.
Nelson Brownlee, A&T Extension’s farm management agent in Robeson County, is coordinating a tour of innovative new technologies, crops and enterprises for small-scale and part-time farmers on Monday, June 25. The tour will begin at the O. P. Owens Agriculture Center in Lumberton at 8:30 a.m., and should wind up by 5:30 p.m. The tour includes stops for looks into drip irrigation, cut flower production, organic livestock and roadside marketing. It will include stops in Columbus, Bladen and Sampson counties, as well as Robeson.
