Trans-Atlantic technology transfer lauded

Dr. Francis Walson, an Extension associate with The Cooperative Extension Program at A&T, was presented a humanitarian award from Opportunities Industrialization Centers International (OICI), a nonprofit based in Philadelphia. For more than 30 years, OICI has been coordinating responses to the economic and social challenges faced by developing countries around the world. The organization lists USAID, and the U.S. Department of Labor among its primary supporters, along with USDA. Walson received the award in recognition of international activities that have assisted in technology guidance for increasing agricultural productivity in West Africa.
