Tractor factors

On Tuesday, Oct. 17, there will be a tractor safety and equipment demonstration program at the University Farm, beginning at 7 p.m., that is open to all area farmers. Accidents involving roll-overs, power takeoff mishandling and other tractor accidents that were in some instances preventable have claimed the lives of at least five farmers in Guilford and Rockingham counties in recent years.  This program was organized by The Cooperative Extension Program at A&T, University Farm staff, and the Guilford and Rockingham County Extension Centers as a response to that issue.
