Duke directing to A&T Extension

Visit the Human Resources Web site at Duke University and you'll find considerable publicity for a new program, which makes it possible for Duke faculty and staff to pick up produce supplied by six area farmers each week, through what's known in agricultural marketing circles as Community Supported Agriculture. At the Duke HR Web site, you'll also notice that they've added a new wrinkle to a popular Duke Farmers Market that has been promoting fruit, vegetable and fiber consumption at Duke since 2001. The Duke HR Web site recognizes "The Cooperative Extension Program at A&T and the N.C. Department of Agriculture & Consumer Services for their assistance," and goes so far as to provide links to its partners' Web pages.

Theresa J. Nartea, Agribusiness & Marketing Specialist for The Cooperative Extension Program at A&T, has been working with Duke, a nonprofit group in Research Triangle and area farmers to pull the connections together for Community Supported Agriculture in the Triangle.
