Specialty crop funding season soon to wind up

leaf iconThe N.C. Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services (NCDA&CS) is making grant funding available for new projects that will help make specialty crops more competitive in the marketplace. The program is funded through a USDA grant established by the 2008 Farm Bill. The NCDA&CS will accept grant applications for projects with budgets between $10,000 and $100,000. Nonprofits, commodity associations, state and local government agencies and universities are eligible to apply. The application deadline is 5 p.m. on Friday, April 20. More details on grant guidelines and application forms are available at the NCDA&CS Marketing Division’s website.
