The Soil Science Society of America, the American Society of Agronomy and the Crop Science Society of America are joint-hosts for an annual meeting that's expected to attract more than 4,000 scientists, educators, aligned professionals and students to Cincinnati, Oct. 21-24. The call for papers that has been issued notes that the early bird discount expires April 19. Three-hundred word abstracts that arrive after that will cost authors an additional $20. Until April 19, the fee that must accompany abstracts submitted by professionals is $50, and the fee jumps to $70 after the 19th. For graduate and undergraduate students who are members of one of the three organizations that will be convening in Cincinnati for the "Visions for a Sustainable Planet" conference in late October, the abstract fee is $30 before the 19th and $50 after the cutoff.
