In case you haven't checked out the SAES Web page lately, there's now a video that details the agricultural stewardship that helped AA&S Farms land the 2012 Small Farmers of the Year award. That's AA&S as in Albert and Ada Beatty and daughter Sonya, owners and operators of a Bladen County farm that has a feeder-pigs operation and other livestock, a managed timber stand and vegetable production that's innovatively irrigated.
The SAES Flickr pages have an extensive assortment of photos from Small Farms Week educational forums, tours and other activities around the state, and also an assortment of shots of dignitaries and honorees at the Small Farmers Recognition Luncheon at A&T on March 28.
