April 6 is the deadline for A&T students to submit abstracts for the 2012 Division of Research and Economic Development (DORED) undergraduate research poster competition. Students can secure the forms that are a requisite accompaniment of abstracts from Dr. Peggy Bolick of DORED. Accepted abstracts must be followed by posters themselves — delivered to room 312 Fort IRC Building — by 5 p.m. Friday, April 13. SAES students whose poster presentations are accepted will be expected to be alongside them at the Fort IRC from 10 to 11 a.m. on April 16.
The A&T students whose presentations come out on top in the competition will receive cash awards: $300 for first place; $200 for second; and $100 for third.
Dr. Shirley Hymon-Parker, associate dean for the Agricultural Research Program, has been invited to speak at a complimentary lunch (pizza) for A&T students presenting posters.
