Sheila Dalcoe, The Cooperative Extension Program’s family and consumer sciences agent in Guilford County, has been honored with a Distinguished Service Award by the National Extension Association of Family and Consumers Sciences. (NEAFSC). The award was given to Dalcoe in recognition of her accomplishments in establishing and sustaining outreaches in family financial management in Guilford County. It was noted in particular that “Her programs are innovative and fun, while helping individuals to improve their lives.” The NEAFSC’s 2009 annual session in Birmingham Ala. in mid-September was organized around the theme of "Celebrating Our Heritage, Embracing Our Future," and marked the association’s 75 year anniversary.
