There is an Aug. 12 deadline for two openings on the state-level staff for subject matter specialists to join The Cooperative Extension Program at A&T. The openings are for a nutrition program outreach coordinator, and also for a 4-H and youth development specialist.

Among the primary responsibilities for the nutrition outreach coordinator is A&T Extension’s Expanded Foods and Nutrition Program (EFNEP). Applicants should have at least three years experience in designing and developing nutrition education programs, and they should have a doctorate in nutrition or a related field. Preference will be given to applicants who are registered dietitians, and who have experience in Cooperative Extension or a similar organization.

The individual selected to assume responsibilities as A&T Extension’s 4-H and youth development specialist will provide guidance and support for a wide array of programs, as well as curriculum development and field staff training for Extension faculty, volunteer leaders and program partners. A minimum of three years of teaching or other directly relevant work experience is required, and applicants should have doctoral degrees in family and consumer science, early childhood development, youth development or other related fields.
