One option for graduates is to strike out on their own, after they’ve passed the Landscape Architecture Registration Examination (L.A.R.E.). Almost 23 percent of landscape architects are self-employed. The Landscape Architecture program at North Carolina A&T State University prepares students with the background they will need to start their own businesses, if that is their inclination.
